It's All About the Pool

The pool is what prompted these lovely, longtime clients to build a house in Rancho Mirage, California...

The house is spectacular, too, but today we focus on the outside. The pool is an infinity edge designed by David Tisherman. We chose beautiful glass mosaic tiles to give the pool a glowing effect. Unfortunately, the tile needed to be installed in the heat of summer and a huge tent had to be erected to cover the area and fans were installed to keep it cool.

The same light as air, water and limestone colors from the home's interior extend to the expansive outdoor space. A wall of glass doors opens from the living/dining areas onto a deep, cool and fully covered patio lined with elegant stone archways. Graceful and traditional outdoor furniture laced with an extra bit of personality echoes the pieces from the interior, for a second living area, a stylish fire pit area and an intimate dining area.

There is an outdoor rated TV over the fireplace, because being outside at night is so enjoyable when the weather starts turning warmer. There is a theater inside the house for daytime movies when the sun is blazing. The Tucci umbrellas can be folded down at the end of the day and are sturdy and durable. There are chaise lounges that sit on a shelf in the water of the pool.

The most talented iron-working craftsman, Henry Means, made the towel rack and many other features at this sunny oasis.

Planning is currently underway for a family wedding. The perfect venue!
