Elle Decor highlighted Brown Design Group again! The 1/28/2020 article "22 WOOD KITCHENS THAT ARE FULL OF CHARM" by Monique Valeris (Elle Decor.com) showcased @DeringHall Designers.
This warm Craftsman kitchen belongs to our clients' home whose dining and living rooms were shown in our May 3, 2019 Newsletter: Craftsmanship is not Dead". Note in the photos below the fine and truly custom cabinetry by DK Woodworks. We applied the Golden Ratio, a mathematical ratio of 1.618:1 (the number Phi), or the Divine Proportion used in Classical Greece. It proved to be the only way we could adjust the center stile design and placement for each cabinet door. The hardware is all custom designed and handcrafted, the drawer pegs are all expressed in the Craftsman style. The tile is from the iconic tile company, Rookwood. And don't miss the hand designed bespoke pendants, beautifully finished beams, striking fabrication of the cooktop's hood, and even the specialized roman shades with their integrated wood valances that maximize the picture window views. Our work with our clients, the architect and the various crafts people to produce this spectacular Lake Tahoe area home was a joy. We love the result achieved and are glad Elle Decor has spotlighted it for their viewers. We are thankful!
